Bolivian president’s approval grows – Invasor Newspaper

The acceptance of the Bolivian president, Luis Arce, is today 47 percent, 11 points more than in June, according to the most recent Diagnosis, Social Research, Opinion and Market survey.

“We have identified in our survey that this approval is mainly due to economic stability and it is this stability that allows some people, who were skeptical at first, now to moderately approve of the government’s management,” said Julio Córdoba, manager of the pollster.

The study, carried out between September 9 and 11, included 1,800 respondents between the ages of 18 and 65 and revealed that already in August the support achieved was 41 percentage points.

In reference to qualitative elements, the expert stressed that although “explicit approval” fluctuates between 13 and 15 percentage units, the “moderate approval” indicator went from 23 percent in June to 32 units out of 100 in September.

“That means that the people who in June had an indifferent attitude towards the president’s management, now, some of them, little by little, go over to the side of a moderate approval of the president’s management,” Córdoba told the newspaper. radio Fides.

The Diagnosis spokesman considered that the main cause of the favorable change in the president’s approval is the country’s economic stability.

According to the investigation, 23 percent of those interviewed described economic stability as “correct”, while 19 out of 100 considered that there is economic reactivation in the Andean-Amazonian nation.

In August of the current year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) registered an increase of just 0.04 percent compared to July, the accumulated variation until the eighth month of the year marked an increase of only 1.62 units of 100 and in the term of 12 months of 1.55 percent, the lowest in the continent.

The level of employment today is the highest in the history of the country with 4.6 million employed people and an increase in activity is observed in most sectors of the economy.

Such is the case of transportation, with an expansion of air (44 percent) and rail (22 points out of 100), due to the increase in internal and international flights and the transportation of minerals, it was reported.

These indicators reflect the effectiveness of the policies applied after the rescue of democracy with the electoral victory of Arce and the reestablishment of the Productive Community Social Economic Model.
