Reality star Vanessa Villela from Selling Sunset and creative director and photographer Nicholas Hardy have gotten married. The pair had been dating for a year and three months before getting engaged. After sharing photos of the wedding event, it’s clear that the couple is excited about this big change in their lives.
The couple met online on October 10, 2020, and were initially only friends. Nicholas lived in England and Vanessa was in Los Angeles, but the distance couldn’t keep these two apart. After three months, the two met up in Mexico and shared an instant and unbelievable connection. After 15 months, they were still inseparable, so Nicholas proposed at the Griffith Observatory in January of this year, and the couple began to plan for their wedding.
On September 3, Vanessa and Nicholas got married in San Diego at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. The pair actually started their love story at the Fairmont Mayakoba. According to Brides, both Vanessa and Nicholas wanted to connect their history and roots to their wedding. By having their wedding under the same chain of resorts where their relationship started, their love story could go full circle. Vanessa’s deceased sister Jackie used to stay at Fairmont resorts often, so having the wedding there also helped to honor her memory and connect her to the big day. As the Selling Sunset star explained, “It seemed like the perfect place to bring the family back together.“
The pair wanted to keep the event relatively small, so they opted to have only 69 guests present when they said their “I do’s.” The celebration was meant to be more intimate, and to ensure that everything went perfectly, the pair insisted on speaking with every single vendor before hiring them. As they explained, “We wanted the event to be intimate yet grand and to create something that would blow people’s minds. Just like our love, this event had to reflect their fairytale love story.” Special care was also considered when implementing color themes. The Selling Sunset couple had a blush, ivory and gold color palette because they felt that those colors would help capture the romance of the moment. By curating a perfect team and environment, the couple had their ideal fairytale wedding.
The wedding seems to have gone off without a hitch, and the couple can now settle into the routine of married life. At this time, it is not known whether Vanessa will return for Selling Sunset season 6, but the couple plans to stay focused on their love regardless. With such a joyous and monumental life event, fans can only continue to support Vanessa and Nick as they enter this new chapter in their lives.
Selling Sunset is available to stream on Netflix.
