Ryan Gosling and wife Eva Mendes take their children trick-or-treating

Ryan Gosling is in Australia filming his new movie, The Fall Guy.

And on Monday, the Hollywood actor and his wife, Eva Mendes, partook in a Halloween tradition as they took their children trick-or-treating in Sydney’s Bondi.

While Halloween is not quite as big a holiday Down Under as it is in the States, it has picked up in popularity in recent years and costumed children skipping around their neighborhoods collecting candy is becoming a more common sight.

Ryan, who has been married to Eva since 2011, has been in town with his family while busy working on his new film.

The Fall Guy is based on the popular 1980s TV series starring Lee Majors, Heather Thomas and Markie Post.

The series ran from 1981 to 1986 and centred on a stuntman who has a side-hustle as a bounty hunter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the side-hustle plot is being ditched.

Gosling will instead play a past-his-prime stuntman working with a movie star who once replaced him but has now gone missing.

Development on the film adaptation of the program initially began in 2010, and Martin Campbell was eyed as its director.
