Star Wars’ Dave Filoni gives a surprisingly logical reason why Yoda and Yaddle don’t talk alike

Yoda is easily one of the most recognizable characters in the star Wars Canon — and all of pop culture, for that matter. One of the things that makes him so special is his reverse speaking style. It is interesting that the recently released series Capricorn tales raised a big question About the way the Jedi master talks by including his Yaddle. The fellow Force-wielder, who is of the same species, doesn’t speak that way, a development that has led to the need for some clarification. Thankfully, producer Dave Filoni gave a reason for it, and it’s actually quite related.

Capricorn tales This is the first time that Yaddle first appeared on the screen in 1999 phantom danger, may have taken center stage in a television or movie production. Here, the Jedi express it Mandalorian Director Bryce Dallas Howard, and likely surprised many that she gave the character a traditional modern style. Dave Filoni revealed that he and Howard thought about whether the heroine should talk backwards. However, Filoni eventually chose against him, due to something OG Yoda actor Frank Oz once told him:

Do you speak the opposite? I’m like, no, I don’t think so. I think that’s something Yoda. Frank Oz once told me that Yoda speaks this way specifically in honor of his master. That’s what he thought about it. I’m trying to keep moving forward with these ideas. And Bryce single-handedly made a great Yaddle.
