star girl It was a particularly special project for Jeff Jones, who created the comic’s character Courtney Whitmore and based it on his late sister. In a statement shared with The Hollywood ReporterThe writer/producer reflected on the course of the show. Also determine if he and his collaborators knew that the third season would mark the end of the show’s run:

Stargirl has always held a special place in my heart for many reasons. With all the brewing changes in the network, we knew this might have been the last season, so we wrote with that in mind and delivered what I think was the best season for Stargirl so far, with a complete creative shutdown. The cast and crew are great, and I want to thank them for helping me bring this series to life. Brick embody Kourtney in every way possible – with grace, strength and humor – exceeding my highest expectations. I am grateful to WBTV and The CW for giving us a home to tell this story and honor my beloved late sister, and I am so grateful to the press and fans who have always championed us for three amazing seasons. Most soap operas don’t get that far. We couldn’t be more proud of our show and the fan community we’ve built!
