Cabinet Of Curiosities: The Viewing Cast & Character Guide

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities’ 1970s-themed episode “The Viewing” includes a varied cast of actors in the roles of its characters. The seventh installment of Guillermo del Toro’s anthology series, “The Viewing” was written by Aaron Stewart-Ahn and Panos Cosmatos, who also directed the episode. Set in 1979, Cabinet of Curiosities episode 7 revolves around a group of strangers invited to the home of a mysterious wealthy man.

Cabinet of Curiosities episode 7’s group of strangers doesn’t know why they were selected or what they’re expected to do, except for the fact they get to visit Lionel Lassiter’s mansion, named the Sandpiper House. Along with Lassiter and his personal doctor, Dr. Zahra, the group ends up unveiling the true purpose of the evening, which leads to a disturbing end. Peter Weller stars as the wealthy Lionel Lassiter, owner of the Sandpiper House. Lassiter describes himself as collecting “beyond the known” in Cabinet of Curiosities episode 7, “The Viewing” and selected a specific group of strangers to present them with one of his most recent acquisitions. Famous for playing the title character in 1987’s RoboCop, Weller has appeared in many movies and TV shows, including Naked Lunch, 24, and Dexter. Besides Cabinet of Curiosities, Weller recently appeared in MacGyver and JJ Villard’s Fairy Tales.

Sofia Boutella plays Dr. Zahra, Lassiter’s mysterious doctor, whose role isn’t precisely defined throughout Cabinet of Curiosities episode 7, “The Viewing.” Dr. Zahra leads the group in the evening experiences, including the last one, unveiling an unidentified object. After starting her career in Kingsman: The Secret Service, Boutella starred in the David Leitch movie Atomic Blonde and famously played Jaylah in Star Trek Beyond. Besides Cabinet of Curiosities, Boutella recently played Eve in BBC’s SAS Rogue Heroes.

Eric André as Randall – André plays Randall, a famous musician. Just like his fellow guests, Randall appeared in a late-night show. André famously hosted The Eric Andre Show. His voice-acting credits include Disenchantment and FX’s Archer. André previously starred in TV comedies like 2 Broke Girls and Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.

Charlyne Yi as Charlotte – Yi plays Charlotte, a scientist whose first research draft drew Lassiter’s attention. Yi is known for playing Jodi in the Judd Apatow movies Knocked Up and its sequel, This Is 40. Yi voiced Ruby in Steven Universe from 2015 to 2020 and played Lucifer’s sibling Azrael in Lucifer.

Steve Agee as Guy – Agee plays Guy, a notorious novelist slightly disliked by his companions. Agee is known for playing John Economos in both The Suicide Squad and HBO Max’s Peacemaker. He also appeared in popular sitcoms like New Girl and Superstore.

Michael Therriault as Targ – Therriault plays the psychic Targ, who also believes his sense of taste to be impeccable. Therriault famously played Lord Castleroy in The CW’s Reign. Besides the Cabinet of Curiosities, Therriault recently starred as Gordie Shaw in Netflix’s Locke & Key.

Saad Siddiqui as Hector – Siddiqui plays Hector, the group’s driver to Lassiter’s mansion and, more generally, Lassiter’s employee. Siddiqui’s acting credits include The Art of More, Hawaii Five-0, and Coroner. Besides Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Siddiqui has recently appeared in Netflix’s From Scratch.
