Bachelor In Paradise’s Michelle Money Engaged To Mike Weir

Bachelor In Paradise star Michelle Money is engaged to her boyfriend of almost seven years, professional golfer, Mike Weir. Michelle became a fan favorite on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor in 2011, due to her sassy personality. She appeared on Bachelor Pad season 2 later that year. In 2014, Michelle was a contestant on Bachelor In Paradise season 1, and fell in love with Cody Sattler. They left the show together, but eventually broke up. Michelle announced her relationship with Mike in 2016. She has a daughter, Brielle, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Ryan Money.
In an Instagram post, Michelle shared a series of photographs along with the happy news that she is now engaged to Mike.
The Bachelor In Paradise alum wrote, “Mike and I are getting married!” She explained that, after dating for almost seven years, “we both want to take that next step and tie the knot! Looking forward to being Mrs. Michelle Weir! I love you baby! You make my dreams come true! Me and you forever!” Michelle gave more details about the proposal in her Instagram story, explaining that Mike got down on one knee in Queenstown, New Zealand at the top of a glacier. He asked her to marry her, and she said, “hell yes.”
In an Instagram story video, Michelle clarified her and Mike’s earlier statements that they would not get married, but “stay boyfriend and girlfriend forever.” She said, “that’s what we thought, until we thought differently.” Michelle explained that a few years earlier, Mike had gotten down on one knee and asked Michelle to be “his forever girlfriend,” and gave her a ring. At the time, they did not want to get married. However, then they started talking about it, and they decided that maybe they did want to “do this whole marriage thing.” The former Bachelor In Paradise star and Mike decided to see what it felt like if she called him her fiancé, and told people that they were engaged. Michelle said that they “tried that on for size, and it fit. We liked it. It felt great.” They then decided that “of course” they wanted to marry each other and “do life together forever.” Michelle declared, “I want to be Michelle Weir.”
Michelle is not the only Bachelor Nation alum to find lasting love outside the franchise. Just this past year, there were several engagements and marriages. Michelle’s good friend, Clare Crawley, who got engaged twice on two different shows, is now planning her wedding to fiancé Ryan Dawkins, to whom she got engaged in October. The Bachelor alum Madison Prewett married Grant Michael Troutt in October, while Amanda Stanton wed Michael Fogel in September. Bachelor In Paradise star Tia Booth got engaged to Taylor Mock in April, while bartender Wells Adams married actress Sarah Hyland in August. They are just a few of the many happy couples looking toward their futures together.
Michelle was always a Bachelor Nation favorite, from her early days on The Bachelor to her time on Bachelor In Paradise. Fans rooted for her to find lasting love, and are happy to hear that she did outside the franchise. Michelle and Mike are wished all the best as they begin this next chapter of their lives together.
