Fatal accident: 1 person killed in a major crash reported on the HOV lane on I-45 N northbound at West Bay Bank Road and Mount Houston

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – If you’re hitting the road on a Sunday morning, watch out for this massive crash on Northern Highway, in which one death has been confirmed.

Drivers should expect delays on I-45 N northbound between West Bay Bank and Mt. Houston Road.

The crash was reported on the HOV lane at approximately 5:45 a.m. Houston Transstar.

Houston metro officials said one person was killed in the crash, and a few more were hospitalized, though an exact number was not released.

Turnarounds along the freeway include the left shoulder, center, and HOV lanes, as well as the opposite left shoulder and the main opposing lane.
