HOUSTON CRIME: Arguments over woman lead to fatal shooting on Collingsworth Avenue in the city’s northeast side, police said

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Police are looking to track down a man they say shot and killed another during an argument over a woman in Northeast Houston on Saturday.

Houston Police Department officers said they responded to a shooting at 1714 Collingsworth Avenue near Elysian Avenue just before 10 p.m.

There was an altercation between two men over a woman that afternoon, authorities said, which led to another altercation later that night.

Police said the victim was shot multiple times by the other man. The man who was shot reportedly ran across the street, where he collapsed.

Paramedics arrived, and the victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to the Health and Safety Department.

Officials said the suspect was gone when the police arrived, but they believe they know who they are looking for.
