Houston drug bust: Texas Department of Public Safety agents and police officers raid a suspected drug lab in the Carverdale area

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – The Texas Department of Public Safety and its Houston Police officers arrested a suspected drug dealer Monday in northwest Houston.

The authorities were on Sussex Lane near Gessner Road in the Carverdale area. Police were posted outside a shop before several officers donning white high-risk suits entered.

DBS Lt. Craig Cummings said authorities are investigating a secret drug lab. An agent at the scene told ABC13 that it involved the manufacture of pills, possibly fentanyl.

Although details were not immediately released, Cummings said the potential drug bust is a DPS-led investigation.
