Jamie O’Hara has told Daniel Levy to ‘get out’ of Tottenham Hotspur if news of a failed transfer for Sporting Lisbon right winger Pedro Porro are genuine, according to talkSPORT Breakfast (30/01/23).
The former Tottenham midfielder isn’t happy with the club’s current situation, with Antonio Conte’s side having less than 48 hours to boost their squad before the January transfer window slams shut – Arnaut Danjuma has been their only signing so far.
Only last night, those at Hotspur Way were preparing for Porro’s arrival because a medical was booked for the 23-year-old.
But, it’s never a simple day for Tottenham fans, with David Ornstein sharing on Monday morning that the deal, as things stand, for Porro is off.
Even if Sporting have made a late turn here, the fans certainly won’t see it that way and the already-growing anger towards Levy will only go up a few levels.
When discussing Tottenham possibly signing Porro, when O’Hara was told midway through a conversation with Laura Woods that the deal is off, he wasn’t happy.
“I am a little bit annoyed with Tottenham at the minute,” said O’Hara. “It’s coming to the end of the January transfer window and we have brought in Danjuma!
“The Pedro Porro deal is on its knees, we don’t know whether it’s happening or if they are pulling out. There is talk of them pulling out – we have to buy new players. The players aren’t good enough at the back.
“Pedro Porro is a fantastic player. He is way better than what we have got. I am sick of Spurs trying to sign players that just improve the squad.
On being told the Porro deal is off: “You are just ruining my day. If that’s the case, then Daniel Levy needs to get out of Tottenham, seriously. If we don’t get this deal over the line, then the fans are going to go mental. Spurs have been after this player, they want him. They took ages to get it done. If it doesn’t get done, and we are stuck with Emerson Royal until the end of the season, I might not bother to go and watch them.”

The long-serving Spurs chairman isn’t a popular figure in north London and this recent news involving Porro isn’t going to help.
What makes matters worse for Tottenham is that Conte’s current deal expires in the summer and Harry Kane has less than 18 months left to run on his own contract, yet neither of them are any nearer to signing on the dotted line.
