Jason Derulo broke his foot ahead of his Super Bowl performance

Jason Derulo is facing a new difficulty after he sustained an injury that led to him breaking his foot. Moreover, his recent injury comes less than two weeks before the Super Bowl.

Jason Derulo breaks his foot 

TMZ recently captured Jason Derulo walking with a cane seemingly after he broke his foot from a nasty injury.

In addition, a source close to Derulo revealed to TMZ that the Wiggle singer suffered an injury three weeks ago while playing basketball. 

According to reports, Derulo was attempting a rebound at the game. However, he ended up landing on someone else’s foot. 

Furthermore, reports suggest that he is now suffering from a small break in his foot along with a torn ligament.

Although Derulo was fortunate enough to avoid surgery, he still had stem cells injected. But they are reportedly helping him to speed up his recovery.

Meanwhile, presently Derulo is walking around with the help of a cane. Moreover, he is daily visiting a facility to receive physical therapy.

Jason Derulo and The Black Keys are heading toward the Super Bowl

Jason Derulo is teaming up with The Black Keys to headline the NFL’s TikTok Tailgate party during the Super Bowl this year.

In addition, the news was confirmed by the NFL on Friday who shared details about the upcoming performance in their social media post.

The league’s pregame celebration is all set to take place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on 12th February. Besides that, the performance will air on the FOX Super Bowl LVII Pregame Show as well as on TikTok.

Meanwhile, this marks the third year where NFL is collaborating with TikTok to invite global viewers and celebrate Super Bowl pre-game festivities. 

Subsequently, Derulo took to a press release to share his excitement over his much-awaited performance.

He said, ‘Super Bowl LVII! Can’t wait to be a part of the TikTok Tailgate and put on an incredible show. It’s the countdown! Let’s go.’

The Black Keys on the other hand also expressed their anticipation in a press release.

They mentioned, ‘Words can’t express how honored and excited we are to have been asked by the NFL to join the Super Bowl festivities and perform at the TikTok Tailgate party.’

Additionally, they added, ‘As longtime football fans, we couldn’t think of a better way to kick off Super Bowl Sunday. See you in Arizona.’
