Osun assures businesses of enabling environment
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has assured stakeholders that his administration will provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state.
The governor said this while declaring open the ‘Osun 2023 Trade Fair’ in Osogbo, which was organised by the Osun Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in collaboration with the State Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment.
Adeleke, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Teslim Igbalaye, also said the administration would put in place measures that would make the state’s economy more buoyant.
He added that the state would key into the African Continental Free Trade Area to deliver great benefits in terms of jobs creation, growths and poverty reduction.
While commending the organisers of the fair, he said the event was a major step towards fostering investments and harnessing business opportunities in the state, and that Osun was on the path to full and robust industrialisation.
He said, “By leveraging on the gains of AfCFTA, the state will have a lot to benefit as the AfCFTA promises broader and deeper economic integration, attract investment, boost trade, provide better jobs, reduce poverty and increase shared prosperity in Africa.
“The fact that trade fairs are veritable platforms for the advancement of individual, corporate and national ingenuities can never be over- emphasised.
“This trade fair will no doubt help to showcase the economic potentials of the state from the grassroots, particularly in the area of exportable made-in Osun products.”
