A man in a wheelchair was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Missouri City at Holly Ridge Drive and Independence Boulevard, police said.

Missouri City, Texas (KTRK) – A 62-year-old man in a wheelchair was killed during a hit-and-run accident last weekend in Missouri, according to police.
On January 28 at approximately 10 p.m., Missouri City Police Department officers responded to a fatal pedestrian accident at the 500 complex of Independence Avenue by Holly Ridge Drive.
When they arrived, the responding officers said they discovered the man had been hit by an unknown vehicle that had driven off.
Police said the victim was taken to hospital and later died of his injuries.
Police have identified 62-year-old Dave Baptiste Jr. as the man killed in the crash. They said he was returning from the shop on Fondren Road and back to his girlfriend’s house when he was shot.
No word on suspicious information.
