Joe Giudice is stoking the fire that continues to burn between his ex-wife Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The fight between the Giudice and Gorga families is not new, and has been on-screen since the show first aired. However, it seems that this fight has recently gotten much worse, as Melissa and Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga did not attend Teresa’s second wedding last year. It is not publicly known what caused the dramatic reaction, but it will hopefully be explained in the new season of RHONJ.
In a recently deleted comment on one of Teresa’s Instagram posts (reposted by Page Six), Joe called out The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice for praising her new sister-in-law, Dr. Veronica Ruelas. Teresa wished Veronica a happy birthday, and stated she was like a sister to her. “Happy Birthday to the sister i’ve always dreamed of. Veronica you have the most beautiful, wonderful soul I have ever encountered,” Teresa wrote.
Joe commented on the post asking, “I thought you loved Melissa,” but soon deleted the comment. After Joe removed the comment, he replaced it with another, calling the post “Beautiful” to cover his tracks. Joe and Teresa do not have the best relationship, but seem to be co-parenting their children amicably.
On RHONJ, there has long been family drama between Teresa and Melissa, the brunt of which goes back to the inception of Melissa’s relationship with Teresa’s brother, Joe. The pair have never truly gotten along, and the circumstances of which are exacerbated by them both being cast members of RHONJ. Many of their arguments are now publicized and scrutinized by cast members and viewers alike. The other major issue in their feud is that their fellow RHONJ cast members choose sides, and make the situations worse than if they were left alone. Teresa and Melissa may get along better if they were no longer RHONJ cast members, but they both enjoy the spotlight too much.
It does not help Teresa and Melissa to mend fences when people like Joe give their opinions. Joe is someone that has caused further strife within their family while he was married to Teresa, and even after their divorce. He has made small arguments much larger for this family, and caused many divides. Thus, when Joe feels the need to give his opinion on the situation, it seems petty and unnecessary. Joe’s comment on Teresa’s Instagram post was not needed, and was done only to cause drama.
The drama within the Gorga and Giudice families is not only insanely deep, but at times can be worthless. Teresa and Melissa once got into a massive fight over the kind of cookies that Melissa brought to Teresa’s house. These two women may never have a good relationship if people like Joe constantly feel the need to butt in and stir the pot. It is very possible that Teresa and Melissa’s fight will outlast their time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but for the sake of their family, it’s best if everything is put to bed.
