Wisdom High School: Houston police search the HISD campus for a suspect after officers shoot another suspect

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Authorities said Thursday afternoon that a Houston police officer shot a suspect, and possibly another suspect, inside the HISD High School of Wisdom on the Southwest Side, prompting a closure.

The shooting occurred at 6425 Westheimer, according to a tweet from HPD at 1:20 p.m.

Early information from the police indicates that another suspect has entered the high school, which is located at 6529 Beverly Hill.

The district said in a tweet that “School is currently closed due to suspicious activity in the district. No one will be allowed on or off campus until lockdown is lifted. Please await further communication at once.”

The sights are about a mile apart.

ABC13 has a photojournalist at the school, who noted that parents turn up on campus.

On last inspection Hillcroft, which is located roughly between Westheimer and Beverly Hill, is closed by authorities.

None of the officers were injured.
