Adeleke, PDP chieftains hail Makinde
The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, congratulated Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on his victory in Saturday’s governorship election.
Adeleke, in a statement he personally signed, described the outcome of the election as a vote of confidence in Makinde’s performance since he came on board as Oyo helmsman.
Adeleke said, “I congratulate my brother, Governor Seyi Makinde, on his re-election at the polls. Residents of Oyo State have reaffirmed their faith and confidence in his performance. They have confirmed the rapid development of Oyo State under the able leadership of my brother, Seyi Makinde.
“On behalf of the people and government of Osun State, I extend our warm felicitations to Governor Makinde. I look forward to years of partnership and collaboration between our two states on interstate infrastructure, among others.”
Similarly, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, Senator Biodun Olujimi, congratulated Makinde.
Olujimi, who represents Ekiti South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, said the reelection “has not just added another feather to your (Makinde’s) cap of excellence, but has affirmed your good works and exceptional performance in serving the people of Oyo State.”
Meanwhile, the management of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan described Makinde’s victory as well deserved.
This was made known in a statement by the Chairman of the Oluyole Warriors, Babatunde Olaniyan, in Ibadan on Monday.
A statement signed by the club’s media officer, Tosin Omojola, said the re-election of the governor was expected, owing to his landmark achievements during his first four years in office.
