Amanda opened up about her struggles with mental health in a 2015 tweet.
She wrote: “I was diagnosed bipolar and manic depressive so I’m on medication and I’m seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly so I’m fine. I’m not living with my parents. I’m not legally obligated to. My lawyer said if I comply with the courts and take my meds and see my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly then I will get unconserved. Thank GOD.”
This news came a month after she was placed on a psychiatric hold. At that time, the actress had alleged her father had placed a “microchip” on her brain. Following this, she was placed under conservatorship.

Amanda was found in downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning without any clothes. She got the help of a driver who was passing by.
The actress reportedly informed the driver that she had a psychotic episode. Following this, 911 was called to the scene and after a mental health team examined Amanda, she was placed on a psychiatric hold.
She is currently hospitalized.
