#BornoDecides2023: Zulum maintains lead, INEC adjourns collation

The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress in Borno State, Governor Babagana Zulum, is leading as the Independent National Electoral Commission announced results from 22 out of the 27 Local Government Areas in Saturday’s poll.
The INEC Returning Officer for the gubernatorial election, Prof. Jude Rabo, made the announcement on Sunday.
Rabo, however, adjourned the collation of results to Monday at 10am for the remaining five LGAs.
The results so far presented and won by the APC are Jere, Dikwa, Mafa, Magumeri, Kaga, Nganzai, Guzamala, Konduga, Gubio, Kwaya-kusar, Mobbar, Bama, Gwoza and Monguno.
The remaining are Chibok, Kala-Balge, Ngala, Abadam, Damboa, Askira/Uba, Kukawa and Bayo.
The results so far has placed Professor Zulum in the lead with over 350,000 votes.
The Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Mohammed Jajari, who did not win any LGA, is trailing with over 40,000 votes.
The pending five LGAs are Hawul, Biu, Shani, Marte and Maiduguri Metropolitan Council.
