Devon DeJardin Launches First Exclusive NFT Collection “Guardians”

Prolific American artist Devon Desjardins is all set to release his first digital art collection in late March. The collection is a series of unique non-fungible tokens (NFTs) inspired by his sought-after Guardian images. The Guardians series features giant geometric shapes. These abstract figures serve as a source of personal guidance, protection, and solace, reflecting Desjardins’ long-term study of global spiritual traditions.
Devon Desjardin’s Guardian NFT Project: All You Need To Know
Devon DeJardin creates The Guardian NFT Collection with the aim of offering his work in a more accessible digital format to the art and Web3 communities. Desjardin’s current line of physical portraits also has a waiting list itself. These were last displayed in his solo show Giants in 2022 at the Albertz Benda Gallery in New York City. But now, NFTs allow a wider audience to connect with his practice and message.
Desjardins previously performed in Los Angeles and Miami, achieving notable public recognition through both solo and group shows. His work was presented to an international audience in January 2023 at the Art SG Art Fair in Singapore with great success.
Creating his first NFT collection deepened Desjardins’ interest in the intersection of narrative and pictorial complexity. He expanded his visual vocabulary and experimented with art historical ideas of background and location. These new works have a depth of form and space unique in Desjardins’ practice. Rendered with a precision that pays tribute to both the presence of the artist’s hand and the exciting connective potential of the digital medium.
more about the collection
This digital collection represents a perfect experiment, combining hand-made oil on canvas and computer-coded assembly. More, underpainting and sketched studies fuse in this style with static diffusion and quantum probability. Sable brush strokes mingle with digital brushes, and the controlled and randomly generated combination create a unique work of art that goes beyond “meta” and into metaphysics. The JavaScript that completes the creation destroys itself after creating 999 massive canvases.
The 1/1 NFT auction is beyond hype. It is also expected that Desjardin’s first digital art collection will receive significant attention from the art and web3 communities around the world.
