Ekiti Prodigal son conspired with friends to kill his father, hide body in the forest

The alleged kidnapping and murder of Michael Obasuyi, age 82, in the state of Ekiti has led to the remand of three men in a detention facility, according to the Ekiti State Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ado Ekiti District.
Three counts of conspiracy, kidnapping, and murder are being brought against the defendants Sunday Obasuyi, age 42, Akinniyi Ojo, age 51, and Sunday Bobade, age 51. Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, the police prosecutor, claims that on February 1 at around 11 a.m in Agbado Ekiti, the defendants conspired to kidnap Obasuyi, who is 82 years old.
Later, they killed him and buried him in a bush. After prowling the bush for a few weeks, the police eventually found the deceased’s body. According to the prosecutor, the defendants’ behavior violates Sections 280, 279, and 234 of the Criminal laws of Ekiti state.
During the court hearing, the prosecutor requested that the defendants be held in a correctional facility awaiting legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution.
Bankole Oluwasanmi, the Chief Magistrate, ordered the defendants’ remand in the correctional center awaiting the issuance of legal advice and adjourned the case until April 24 for mention.
