Entrepreneur call-out planned for Wabash County – Inside Indiana Business

In January 2019, Manchester Main Street and North Manchester Chambers of Commerce joined to form one entity – Manchester Alive: Main Street Chamber Alliance.

North Manchester’s economic and community development officials are hosting a callout event next month for entrepreneurs in Wabash County. The Manchester Alive Main Street Chamber says the event aims to provide guidance and exposure to the tools available to startups and small businesses.

The chamber organization is affiliated with the NIIC Catalyze Northeast Indiana Pilot Program.

“The opportunity to partner with NIIC and Grow Wabash County is a great way to support entrepreneurs that will indelibly change the trajectory of our local economy. “We are excited to be using these services as a new and innovative way to support the business owners who call North Manchester home,” said Heather Cruz, Executive Director of Manchester Alive.

The Catalyze program provides startups with access to events, workshops and strategies for innovative entrepreneurship through a partnership with NextStudios.

The partners, which include Grow Wabash County, say the collaborative effort is in line with the county’s overall strategy for economic development.

It is also in response to the county’s Imagine One 85 plan, a comprehensive strategy to reverse population decline in Wabash County.

“Communities with strong entrepreneurial ecosystems are well positioned to grow and prosper,” said Alex Downard, Implementation Director at Imagine One 85. Plan, as well as help our existing businesses re-imagine strategies for growth and development.

The Callout Event for Entrepreneurs is at the Community Foundation of Wabash County on April 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
