Foster ethnic unity, monarch advises Tinubu
The Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has called on the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to prioritise the unity of the country.
The monarch gave the advice in a statement on Sunday.
He said, “I know the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to be a smart leader. He should prioritise the unity of Nigeria through reintegration of Igbos to further cement the unity of Nigeria. The President-elect needs to reach out to them. We are all one spirit in a body.
“The President-elect should work on a united nation. We are better off and can grow faster in unison. Our difference in culture and language is a strength under a competent leader.
“Calling a national dialogue will foster unity and heal the wound inflicted by the harm. We should learn from the past, forgive ourselves and forget.”
