Stuff Your Kindle Day is an unofficial US promotion where a huge selection of ebook romance novels is free for 24 hours.
There are loads of different Stuff Your Kindle days throughout the year, but one of them is taking place today, March 31.
Despite the name, it’s not just Amazon Kindle books that are free. You can get free books on any big ebook reading sites.
This includes Apple Books, Barnes and Noble Nook, Kobo, and Google Play, but it’s called Stuff Your Kindle because that’s the most popular.
Essentially, all the brands have collaborated with authors to offer free books for a limited time, but the day isn’t advertised.
How to get free ebooks
You can get free books by simply heading to your chosen site and browsing to see which ones are free.
However, most people are using a website called Romance Bookworms to find their novels as it has compiled a list of all the free books.
Head to the site and choose an ebook retailer. Then, scroll down and you’ll see a huge list of books that are free for 24 hours.
If you like the look of one, click on the link and you’ll be taken directly to the site where you can purchase the ebook for free.
Note that some of the free offerings may accidentally revert back to their normal price throughout the day due to the price bot system.
If a book isn’t free, put it on your wish list and Amazon should notify you when the price drops back down to zero again.
Stuff Your Kindle Day comes just weeks after a dad’s novel Stone Maidens shot to Amazon bestseller thanks to TikTok.
He spent 14 years writing the book and the next 11 hoping it would take off, and his daughter shared his heartwarming story on the app.

The next Stuff Your Kindle Day takes place in three months, on June 30, Romance Bookworm reveals.
Everyone is going gaga for the promotion on Twitter, where one person wrote: “STUFF YOUR KINDLE DAY!!!!”
“I’m super excited about stuff your kindle day tomorrow! I didn’t even know that was a thing until like a week ago. Literally went out and bought a SD card for more storage,” said another.
A third person added: “Stuff your kindle day… I didn’t know this was a thing but there’s so many free books.”
