Kanye West recently revealed he likes Jewish people again after watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street, but is the actor Jewish?

Taking to Instagram, Kanye West broke his social media hiatus as he announced he liked Jewish people again after watching Jonah Hill‘s character in 21 Jump Street.

Is Jonah Hill Jewish?

Yes, Jonah is Jewish. He was born in Los Angeles to Jewish parents.

He has also played a couple of roles where the characters are Jews. However, the actor has not spoken at length about his religion.

Back in 2014, he did an interview where he reflected on his ideology. He confessed he was “not super religious.” Jonah said: ” I like the parts of Judaism that are about being with your family and being a good person more than the specific rules. And lox. I really like the lox.”

What did Kanye West say?

After taking a break from social media, Kanye finally returned to the platform and explained his thoughts on 21 Jump Street.

He said: “Watching Jonah Hill in 21 Jump street made me like Jewish people again. No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people. No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew.”

Kanye, who now goes by Ye, ended the post by writing: “Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”

While Jonah has not replied to the rapper, fans were left confused by his sudden admission. Nonetheless, most of them were happy to see him back on Instagram.

He has made some controversial statements in the past

His current statement comes months after the rapper was dropped by Adidas and other brands for his controversial statements.

He was also slammed by people, including actress Jamie Lee Curtis, who called him out for tweeting: “I’m going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.”

While Kanye has not formally come forward and apologized for his statements, this is the first time the rapper has broken his silence after a flood of controversies.
