LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey remains one of the most controversial figures in sports.
The former Baylor coach has drawn negative attention in recent years for her alarmist comments on COVID-19 protocols and lack of support regarding the illegal detention of WNBA star Brittney Griner in Russia.
Mulkey’s game-day outfits are also eye-catching – though for far more simple reasons. The Tigers coach is known for some outrageous looks on the sidelines, his wardrobe already a point of attraction in Baton Rouge.
However, her outfit for No. 3 LSU’s 66-63 win over No. 2 Utah on Friday in the 2023 Women’s NCAA Tournament may be her most polarizing wardrobe decision yet.
Mulki wore a hot-pink jacket embellished with flowers and a checkered print design. Resembling a boa, the sleeve was covered with neon pink feathers. This is one get-up you have to see to believe.
