‘Massive’: Michael Owen sends Liverpool message to Arsenal and rivals

Michael Owen says Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will have a ‘massive say’ in the Premier League title race between Arsenal and Manchester City, as he told PL Productions (19/03/23 at 4:35 pm).
In recent years, it’s Liverpool who have been trading blows with Pep Guardiola’s side for England’s biggest crown, but now, a new kid is on the block.
In terms of history, only those on Merseyside and Manchester United have won more league titles than Arsenal.
But, for nearly two decades now, that Premier League title has alluded the Gunners, who now have their best chance since 2004 to change their fortunes.
When players return from the international break, Liverpool will travel to the Etihad to take on Manchester City on April 1, before welcoming Mikel Arteta’s men to Merseyside on April 9.
Michael Owen warned Arsenal and Manchester City about the Reds, who might not be in the race itself, but they will still affect it.
‘They (Liverpool) will, they will have a massive say (in the Premier League title race),” said Owen.
“I think Manchester City have lots of things spinning in their heads, at the moment. Three different competitions.
“Whereas Arsenal, ten games and they are cup finals.”
ARSENAL FACE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE
There is still a number of weeks before Liverpool face Manchester City and Arsenal, with injuries and player’s current state, after returning from the international break, playing a big part in how those games will pan out.
But Arsenal are the ones who face the biggest challenge because they have to travel to Anfield.
Whilst Klopp’s men have had some serious issues this season, most of that has come on the road, whilst they have only lost once in the league in front of their own supporters.
