Actress Melissa Joan Hart says she helped children escape moments after death Nashville school shooting on monday.

The actress said her family is doing well and her children weren’t in school on Monday. Then Hart recalled how she and her husband, musician Mark Wilkerson, were on their way to school for conferences when they ran into students who were apparently fleeing their school.
“We helped a kindergarten class cross a busy highway that was climbing out of the woods, and was trying to escape a shooting situation at their school,” said Hart. “So we helped all these little children cross the road and get their teachers there. We helped the mother reunite with her children.”
“I just don’t know what to say anymore,” Hart said. “That’s fair, that’s enough. Just pray. Pray for the families.”
A gunman opened fire on Covenant School, a private Christian school in the city’s upscale Green Hills neighborhood, killing three children and three adults. Police have identified the shooter as 28-year-old Audrey Hill of Nashville Officials said the shooter was armed With at least two assault weapons and a pistol.
