Photo: Arsenal star leaves Mykhailo Mudryk on the floor during England win

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka was in top form for England against Ukraine – and showed Mykhailo Mudryk a clean pair of heels in the first half.

England were looking to follow up Thursday’s win in Italy with a positive result at home against Ukraine.

Gareth Southgate’s men bagged another three points, claiming a 2-0 win at Wembley Stadium.

Saka was rampant again in the first half, setting up Harry Kane to open the scoring for the Three Lions.

Saka added a goal of his own before the break, cutting inside from the right flank and bending a superb left-footed strike into the net.

The Arsenal winger just can’t be stopped at the moment and today’s display was another outstanding performance.

Yet despite the goal and assist, Arsenal fans may actually have bigger smiles on their faces over one first-half moment.

Bukayo Saka leaves Mykhailo Mudryk on the floor

Given that Saka started on the England right, he was up against Ukraine left winger Mykhailo Mudryk.

Saka and Mudryk could have been teammates at Arsenal had the Gunners got their own way.

Arsenal chased Mudryk for months but refused to meet Shakhtar Donetsk’s demands in January.

London rivals Chelsea then swooped in out of nowhere, securing a huge £88million deal for the exciting winger.

Arsenal fans were gutted at the time but have since taken to mocking Mudryk.

Chelsea are struggling for form in the Premier League whilst Arsenal sit top of the table, and Mudryk’s Premier League career hasn’t really taken off yet.

Today’s game was another sign of how far ahead Saka is right now, and he skinned Mudryk at one point.

Saka set off on a run down the right flank with 23 minutes on the clock, and lured Mudryk into a challenge.

The Chelsea winger slid in to try and win the ball before Saka dribbled away, leaving the Blues man in his wake.

Ukraine did manage to stop Saka but the image of Mudryk on the deck looking at Saka going past him is one that Arsenal fans are absolutely loving right now.
