Report: Liverpool and Tottenham both in contact over finally signing 'terrific' midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain ace Renato Sanches is attracting major interest from Aston Villa, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that PSG are willing to part ways with Sanches after just a year at the club.
PSG pounced to sign Sanches from Lille as Luis Campos – who signed Sanches for Lille in the first place – brought him to Paris.
However, Sanches has only started three league games for PSG this season and one in the Champions League.
Despite reuniting with his former Lille boss Christophe Galtier, Sanches clearly isn’t highly valued at PSG.
That means a summer exit is on the cards and it’s suggested that Villa, Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham and Wolves are all being kept informed.
All five clubs allegedly admire Sanches and would be interested in luring him to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Liverpool and Tottenham have liked Renato Sanches for a while now
Liverpool and Tottenham fans are no strangers to seeing links to Sanches.
The Daily Mail reported last summer that Fabio Paratici was looking to bring Sanches to North London.
Le10 Sport also claimed a year earlier – Paratici’s first window at Spurs – that Tottenham wanted Sanches.
Paratici’s future at Tottenham is unclear but if he is still calling the shots in the transfer market, the Portuguese ace could be on the radar.
Liverpool have also been linked with Sanches as Mundo Deportivo reported in 2021 that Anfield was his most likely destination.
Fabrizio Romano also told Anfield Watch in 2022 that Sanches is ‘always’ on Liverpool’s transfer wish list.
Both clubs have had a long-standing interest in Sanches, who has promised so much but has endured an up-and-down career.
Hailed as ‘terrific’ by Jermaine Jenas at Euro 2020, Sanches could be on the move again and a return to England may be on the cards after a dismal 2017 spell with Swansea City.
