Report: Liverpool and Tottenham suddenly face problem in race for 'sensational' PL midfielder
Wolverhampton Wanderers would prefer to sell Ruben Neves abroad amid interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s according to The Mirror, who claim that Wolves are resigned to losing Neves this summer.
Neves is now into the final 18 months of his deal and this summer gives Wolves a chance to cash in before he leaves for nothing.
It’s stated that Wolves will listen to offers – albeit reluctantly – and would prefer to send Neves abroad.
Barcelona have been linked with Neves for a long time now and Wolves would seemingly rather pull off that kind of deal than see Neves join a Premier League rival.
The report adds that, if Neves hasn’t been snapped up by the end of the summer window, he could sign a new deal with Wolves.

90Min reported just a few days ago that there is major Premier League interest in Neves.
They suggested that Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen on the midfielder.
Liverpool are likely to retool their midfield this summer and will need more than one signing to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s engine room.
Newcastle may go for another midfielder to help Bruno Guimaraes in the middle of the park whilst Tottenham could make a raft of changes.
Neves will stand out for a couple of reasons; his experience in the Premier League and the fact that his contract is running down.
Those factors make the Portugal international very appealing and that’s before you get to his range of passing and ability to score from range.
Neves has been described as “a top, top player” and “sensational” by former Manchester United defender Gary Neville having dazzled at Molineux.
The time feels right for Neves to take the next step in his career and joining Liverpool, Newcastle or Tottenham would make sense.
Wolves could pose a problem here though and push for Neves to move abroad, with Barcelona surely the most likely destination in that case.
