Evan Ferguson does not want to move to Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United or Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Evan Ferguson stance amid Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea interest

That’s according to a report in The Sun published today.

The report has claimed that Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea all want to sign Ferguson from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

United will reportedly send scouts to watch the striker in action for the Republic of Ireland against France.

The report has claimed that Ferguson does not want to leave Brighton at the end of the season.

The 18-year-old striker, described as a “superstar” by former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy on BBC Sport, believes that “his development will be better served by remaining at a club where he will have more opportunities to play first-team football”.

Stats

Evan Ferguson has made five starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton and Hove Albion so far this season.

The 18-year-old striker has scored three goals and provided two assists in those games.

The youngster has scored three goals in four FA Cup ties, and scored one goal and given one assist in two Carabao Cup matches this campaign.

Praise for Harry Kane

Meanwhile, Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire has praised Tottenham Hotspur striker and England international teammate Harry Kane.

Kane scored against Italy on Thursday to become the all-time leading goalscorer for England.

Maguire told England Football about Kane: “First and foremost, Harry is a great person and a great leader. He is great to have in the dressing room and around the team, both on and off the field, which is a massively important thing.

“For someone who has such an amazing goalscoring record, he is not selfish at all on the pitch or off the pitch. That is another big, big attribute for me.

“Obviously on top of that, he’s an amazing footballer. He is a great finisher. You play five-a-sides in training and he is the top goalscorer every time you play it. That’s the type of player he is.  He is an amazing footballer, an amazing finisher and a pure goalscorer.”
