Report: Thomas Tuchel already wants to sign £150,000-a-week Liverpool target from Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel has not been officially announced as the new manager of Bayern Munich, yet there is already speculation that he could deliver a blow to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window by signing Mateo Kovacic from Bayern Munich.
Thomas Tuchel wants Liverpool target Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea for Bayern Munich
CMW have reported that Tuchel would like to sign Kovacic for Bayern from his former club Chelsea.
The German manager was sacked by Chelsea earlier in the season.
The Guardian have reported that Bayern will now appoint Tuchel as their new manager after letting go of Julian Nagelsmann.
Blow for Liverpool
And this will come as a blow for Liverpool, who have been linked with the 28-year-old Chelsea midfielder.
90min journalist Graeme Bailey said on the Talking Transfers podcast this month that Liverpool are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Kovacic in the summer transfer window.
Now, Liverpool are a massive club, but after playing for Chelsea, Kovacic may not be willing to another Premier League team, especially one who may not play in the UEFA Champions League next season.
The £150,000-a-week (SalarySport) former Real Madrid star could find Bayern hugely appealing.
After all, Bayern regularly win the Bundesliga title and compete for the UEFA Champions League.
And in Tuchel, he would have a manager who knows him well.
