Riverdale’s farewell season will introduce fans to two fresh faces

Riverdale season 7 will be the drama-mystery series’ final chapter – ahead of its release the full cast has been released.

The teen drama turned supernatural horror series that brought Archie Comics characters Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Jughead Jones, and co. to life is coming to an end after 7 seasons.

Following Riverdale season six’s finale- which involved Cheryl Blossom saving the town of Riverdale from obliteration using superpowers and everyone waking up the day after in 1955- season 7 will pick up in the decade of jukeboxes and Rock N Roll. Cole Sprouse‘s Jughead is the only character who remembers the future and the trailer shows him trying to get his classmates to believe him.

Season 7 release date

The farewell season of Riverdale will premiere on March 29 at 9 PM ET and you can catch all episodes on The CW.

The series finale will air on Wednesday, August 23 at 9 PM and the whole season will reportedly come to Netflix eight days later on August 31.

The names of the first four episodes of the seventh series have been released by Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa:

  • “Chapter One Hundred and Eighteen: Don’t Worry, Darling”
  • “Chapter One Hundred and Nineteen: Skip, Hop, and Thump!”
  • “Chapter One Hundred and Twenty: Sex Education”
  • “Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-One: Love & Marriage”

Riverdale season 7 returning cast

Two new characters will join the Riverdale cast

Two fresh faces will be joining the cast as recurring characters for season 7. Hadestown’s Nicholas Barasch will feature as Julian Blossom, Cheryl Blossom’s twin brother. The character is a classic high school bully who makes everyone around him miserable when he doesn’t get his way, especially Archie.

While Le Chalet’s Karl Walcott will play Clay Walker. The well-red queer character has an eye for social justice and will have a potential romance with Kevin.
