SEED- a two-day start-up fest organized to support start-ups in Jammu

Jammu: With an aim to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, a first of its kind two-day startup program for entrepreneurship development was launched in Jammu on 17-18 March 2023.
It is conceptualized by Adishree Singh and her team. The agency in collaboration with FICCI FLO JKL, MIET and Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation to create a platform for young start-ups of J&K by providing them with the right network and resources and providing them an opportunity to learn Was for Go further.
This was as an extension of outreach to the start-up ecosystem from J&K, led by Dr. Kunwarani Ritu Singh, Founder President – FICCI FLO-JKL to promote youth employment in J&K To create a permanent system of Kashmir and Ladakh.
The first day of the festival began with a session at MIET, with emphasis on pitching, open-ended communication, knowledge sharing, networking, awards and participation of stakeholders from IITs, IIIMs, IIMs, JKEDI, SMVDU, SCAST, BGBSU and MIET given. Women Entrepreneurs of FLO.

Later, Maharaja Hari Singh Foundation and Hari Niwas hosted “Sufi Under the Stars” at the iconic Amar Mahal by Ustad Ma Jila Khan and his musicians, which captivated the attention of the audience, leaving them spellbound as they performed the power of Shakti. expressed reverence for Powerful rendition of Devi Stotras and curated songs to the tune of her Ghazals, Sufiana and “Seed”.
Reviving the age-old traditions of the royal house, MK Ajatshatru Singh and Kunwarani Ritu Singh along with their daughter Adishree Singh played the role of impeccable hosts giving Jammu a taste of their royal patronage. It culminated with a lavish and sumptuous dinner set at the majestic lawns of Hari Niwas.
The second day of the festival offered a curated series of talks, workshops, panel discussions, film screenings by industry leaders and motivational speakers to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.
This unique opportunity provided participants with exclusive resources, community access, and real-time feedback from experienced entrepreneurs and industry leaders. There was also a curated marketplace, along with a Grub Fest showcasing the best brands and culinary experiences from the region.
Other highlights of the event were a powerful face yoga session by Kanupriya Garg, screening of the film “Girhen” by Sonalika Jain and a film on female feticide by Dr. Virendra Sharma. The participants of the event included alumni of IIT Jammu, IIM Jammu, MIET, GCW Gandhi Nagar, GCW Akhnoor, GCW Parade, DPS, several start-ups, entrepreneurs and members of FICCI FLO JKL, enthusiastic shopkeepers and members.
