Suicide: Married couple Sally Staehle and Lance Staehle are found dead in their League City home at Magnolia Estates Dr.

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) – A couple was found dead in an apparent murder-suicide Monday morning in League City, according to investigators.

The City of League Police Department said it is conducting an investigation into the couple’s death.

Police said that around 9:30 a.m., officers received a request for a welfare check in the 100th building on Magnolia Estates Drive after a man did not show up to work.

When they arrived, after examining the house, the officers saw what they believed to be a woman lying on the floor inside.

Officers had to enter and found the man and woman dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Authorities said weapons were found at the scene.

League City officials have identified the victim as 57-year-old Sally Stahlei and the suspect as 54-year-old Lance Stahlei.
