Todd Tonnochy Arrested: Suspect In Hailey Nieto Death
In Texas, a guy named Todd Tonnochy is in prison for the murder of an 18-year-old Reno woman.
After Hailey Nieto’s corpse was discovered on a dirt road close to Cold Springs on March 28, Todd Tonnochy, 39, was taken into custody at a Midland, Texas, motel.
On March 23, at around 6 o’clock, Police were called to a dirt extension off North Virginia St. due to reports of strange events.
At that time, they discovered 18-year-old Nieto’s corpse. According to an autopsy, she had been shot in the face, and murder investigators are looking into how she died.
Tonnochy was identified as the primary suspect early in the investigation, and Police think he left the area shortly after the teen’s death.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office contacted the U.S. Marshals to help with their hunt for Tonnochy.

According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Tuesday saw the apprehension of Todd Tonnochy, 39, in Midland, Texas.
U.S. marshals, the sheriff of Midland County, and SWAT officers arrested him in a Midland motel.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of suspicious activity on March 23 around 6 pm in the Cold Springs area on the dirt extension of North Virginia Street between Red Rock Road and White Lake Parkway.
They discovered a woman who had been shot in the head and was subsequently identified as Nieto. Homicide was found to be the cause of death.
On Friday, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office announced that investigators had named Tonnochy a suspect and discovered he had left the Reno region shortly after Nieto’s death.
The sheriff’s office requested help from the U.S. marshals in capturing him. There are no fugitives from justice in this case, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
