Instagram posts from the friends and fans of rapper 26Ceejay are fueling reports that the Florida artist has died.
Unofficial reports that the Florida rapper 26Ceejey has passed away have circulated around social media. Friends and fans of the artist have seemingly been posting tribute posts to him, although news of his death has not officially been confirmed.
Who is 26ceejay?
26Ceejay is a rapper from Broward County in Pampano Beach, Florida. He was formally part of Kodak Black‘s crew and has recently been releasing his own music. The rapper’s age is not publicly known but his YouTube name, 26CeeJay98, suggests he may have been born in 1998, which would make him around 24 years old if true.
He dropped his first EP, titled King Kobra, in July 2022 and has amassed 64,698 views on YouTube and over 12,000 followers on Instagram.
26Ceejay also released a single called Sweet Love to Spotify in 2020 and has featured on other artists’ tracks.
Tributes flood Instagram
Both unofficial social media reports and Instagram tributes from 26Ceejay’s friends suggest that the rapper has passed away.
One of his friends, a fellow rapper known as Young Money Juicy, posted a tribute. “Damn Cee You Was My Lil Bra, Watched You Grow Up ,My Fam Is Yo Fam… I Grateful n Thank You For Giving Me My Flowers & How You Proud Of Me At The Barbershop While You Was Here Cause I Damn Show Gave You Yours Fam,” his post read.
Another fellow rapper, Benji Flex, said: “Rest Up to My dawg Ceejay I wish dis never happened to you bra we was Thuggin in broward county Jail bro u was Cool den.”
Another tribute came from artist J0HN THOO, who expressed that he had wanted to get to know 26Ceejay better.
“That’s crazy because I had gave you a shout out two months ago and plus I wanted to do some music with you. I never even gotten the chance to get to know you I wish I’ve could’ve done that and I regret it. My condolences goes to his family,” he wrote.
