WWE reveals what Ronda Rousey is doing at WrestleMania 39

The WrestleMania 39 card is finally starting to fill up, and tonight WWE SmackDown has added several people to the WrestleMania mix. One of the biggest question marks surrounding the event concerned Ronda Rousey, who was reportedly dealing with some type of injury that could cause her to miss the event. It turned out not to be the case, as during tonight’s episode Rousey came out on Shayna Baszler and revealed that she will actually be competing at WrestleMania 39, and will be part of the Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match.

Last week’s qualifying match saw Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan take on Tegan Knox and Emma, and Morgan and Rodriguez would be victorious. They stood ringside for the night’s qualifying match, which was between the teams of Lacey Evans and Xia Li and Natalya and Shotzy. After a physical match, it would be Shotzy and Natalya securing their spot in the match.

Their celebration was cut short, however, as Rossi and Baszler walked out shortly after their win. Baszler said there was a lot of history in the ring and that almost everyone there had something broken by Baszler and Rousey, whether it was an arm or a nose or as Baszler put it, their soul.

Baszler said they were happy to do it again and didn’t want to wait for it to happen, but Rousey prevented her partner from entering the ring. Rousey said they’ve already given Las Vegas a lot of spectacle in the past and didn’t appreciate it, but they have news to share. Rousey then said that they would be part of a 4-Way Tag Team match at WrestleMania, and now there was only one spot in the match to decide.

Baszler and Rousey have a history with everyone in the ring so far, and it remains to be seen who will be the ultimate tag team match. My money’s in a battle between the two previous losers to decide that, but that’s not the only possibility, so we’ll have to wait and see.

For Rousey, WrestleMania is only a week away, so the injury will either have fully recovered by then or at least not be in real danger of becoming worse. It also helps that it would be a tag team match, where Baszler could do more of the heavy lifting and with everyone else in the match, injury would be more protected because she didn’t have to be in the ring the whole time.
