Fortnite Season 3 release date revealed along with Transformers Battle Pass | Games | entertainment

Fortnite developer Epic Games is preparing to launch a brand new season of Battle Royale. According to the latest leaks, Fortnite Season 3 will launch along with update 25.00 on June 9th. The exact date and time will likely change, depending on whether or not Epic is holding an end-of-season event. Either way, the new Fortnite season is only a few days away, and based on early Battle Pass leaks, it’s shaping up to be something quite special.
In fact, as you can see from Shiina’s tweet below, the new Battle Pass will feature a crossover with the Transformers franchise.
Coinciding with the release of the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie, the Battle Pass will contain an Optimus Prime skin.
This is in addition to a new treasure hunter-style adventure skin, a mechanic skin, as well as a Meowscles summer variant. Additional Battle Pass skins will be revealed at launch.
As you can see from the artwork, the season will have a prehistoric/tropical theme, so expect lots of dinosaurs, foliage, and maybe even the long-rumored volcano.
In addition to the tropical theme and a handful of Battle Pass items, the Fortnite insiders have spotted one or two additional features coming to Season 3.
According to Hypex, the helicopters will come with a launcher that fires every two seconds. It will be particularly destructive to buildings.
The leaked loading screen with the Battle Pass skins also features a new weapon. The Lever Pistol is expected to pack a big punch at slower speeds.
Elsewhere, Epic Games is working on an epic/legendary heat sniper, as well as a legendary hunting rifle.
There’s currently no word on an end-of-season event, and without another big update planned for this season, it looks like we could go again without.
