the light He may be the fastest man alive, but it turns out that not even superheroes can outrun everything — or at least neither can the actors who play them. The flash star grant justin revealed to EW that with only six days left in filming the CW series, COVID got the actor off the bench and prompted the series to do some juggling to make it all work.
“I hadn’t had COVID for three years, and we were six days away from finishing, and I somehow caught COVID,” Justin said. “And God bless them, they somehow made it work and changed some things around the schedule. We closed for one day. I was so close to the finish line and I ended up having to do a full 10 day quarantine because I still tested positive. And I felt fine.” I just had to sit at home and wait for my last few days to perform for a while.”
Gustin’s illness hit right when they were working on the series finale, which made for an uncomfortable time for things, but they made it through. Justin explained that because he was sick, everyone had a roll in front of him which meant he had to film a few things separately so they could green check him later.
He said, “I recovered by the time I was filming, but it was killing me.” Everyone wrapped up in front of me because of that! Candice [Patton] And I shot a really important scene together on Friday, and it had a very emotional ending, and I was really happy to be there for it. It was really a special moment. And then, the next day was Saturday that we had to add in all the green screen work.”
“I felt like they were trying to keep me here. We just prolonged the ending,” he added.
the light The series finale will not conclude the Arrowverse.
while the light Nearing the finish line and set to wrap up Barry Allen’s story next week, the series’ showrunner recently clarified that the episode won’t serve as a conclusion to the Arrowverse as a whole because it hopes the universe will continue.
“I still hope the arrow’s trajectory doesn’t end,” Wallace explained. “I treated it as such the light It’s over and I want to do my best flash final series as possible. On the flip side, of course, there isn’t Batwoman. nothing legends. nothing black lighting. nothing Arrow or super girl. It’s very strange. All the shows that were on Earth-Prime, they’re all gone. So what does that mean? I don’t know.”
“I wrap a lot of stuff in the series finale, and it ends on a very optimistic note that shows you how the future of the Arrowverse can play out in some way, shape or form,” Wallace continued. “I hope it gives people closure, but also some hope for the future, because otherwise it’s very sad to think that there are no more crossovers, that there will be no more stocks after May 24th. It saddens me because I love it so much, and it was a big part of not only of my life, but of the life of my entire fanbase.”
