Star Trek: Legacy could potentially see an appearance by Thad Riker, the late son of Captain William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis). Born aboard the USS Titan after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis, Thad became ill with a rare disease as a child. In an effort to save their son, Riker and Troi – along with daughter Kestra (Lulu Wilson) – relocated to the restorative planet Nepenthe, though Thad eventually died from the disease, leaving Riker and Troi shattered.
