Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker introduced the Force Dyad, but surprisingly the franchise began subtly setting it up back in 2014. It may not have been universally acclaimed, but Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker really did attempt to add some intriguing new ideas into the franchise's lore. Star Wars' new Force Dyad was one of the most exciting new concepts, finally explaining the strange connection between Daisy Ridley's Rey and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren. The Force Dyad wasn't particularly fleshed out in the movie, but tie-ins have developed it a great deal.
