‘Take him’: Michael Dawson wants £200,000-a-week Manchester United player at Tottenham

Michael Dawson has said that he would sign Manchester United central defender Harry Maguire for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender has said on Sky Sports that Spurs should sign Harry Maguire from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Dawson said: “There will be a lot of takers for Harry Maguire. I’d take him at Spurs tomorrow.”
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire linked with Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Maguire has actually been linked with a move from Manchester United to Tottenham Hotspur.
Earlier this month, Football Transfers reported that Tottenham and West Ham United are interested in the £200,000-a-week (SalarySport) defender.
The report claimed that the Red Devils would sell the 30-year-old England international if they got £40 million for him.
Potentially good signing for Spurs
In our view, Harry Maguire would be a good signing for Tottenham.
Yes, the defender has not had the best of times at Manchester United, but he is a very capable and experienced defender.
We have seen Maguire play well for England.
Tottenham could do with a defender like Maguire who knows the game and can hold his own at the back.
And while the former Leicester City defender is not world class, Tottenham are not in a position to attract top-quality players in the summer transfer window.
