Victor is from an incredibly athletic family. His dad Felix Wembanyama is a Congolese former track and field competitor who competed in the triple jump, long jump, and high jump.
His mother, Elodie, meanwhile, is a former basketball player turned youth basketball coach who taught Victor how to play basketball. She coached at Yvelinois Basketball Academy.
Victor’s grandfather, Elodie’s father, also played professionally in the 1960s, and was 6 feet 7 inches tall. His grandmother, Marie Christine, also played the sport.
