'And sign': Jose Enrique says the 'best option' is for Liverpool defender to leave

Jose Enrique thinks Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should loan-out Calvin Ramsay this summer amid suggestions that he could leave.
Liverpool signed the teenage right-back last summer for a transfer fee of £6.5 million from Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen (Sky Sports), but he only went on to make two appearances for the club.
Injuries played their part, as well as the fact that he has a certain Trent Alexander-Arnold playing in front of him, but for Enrique, if Calvin Ramsay is loaned, then Liverpool can sign another right-back to ‘compete’ with their current first-team star, as he posted via his Instagram story.
For large parts of the season, just like his Liverpool teammates, Alexander-Arnold struggled for form and had many defensive issues.
During the final few months of the season, he found some form, but it was too late by then as Jurgen Klopp’s side missed out on a top-four finish.
But when former Reds left-back Enrique read that Ramsay could be loaned this summer, he issued the following response: ‘Best option for him and sign a right back that can compete with Trent’.

Alexander-Arnold needs competition
With Liverpool set to revamp their midfield this summer, especially with the signing of Alexis Mac Allister, some have raised the question if Alexander-Arnold will be used in the middle of the park next season.
Many fans have been crying out for that because they think it will require less defensive work for the England international and it would then take his game to an even higher level.
But regardless of what Klopp does, one thing is for sure, is that Alexander-Arnold needs serious competition for that right-back spot, not just to push him, but to help him out.
