Leadership crisis: Police seal Nasarawa State House of Assembly complex

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly complex, has been sealed off by the state police command following a leadership crisis.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, while speaking to newsmen in Lafia, the state capital, said that Mr Maiyaki Baba, the Commissioner of Police, gave the directive following consultations with other security operatives in the state.

He said, “No member from the two factions will be allowed entry into the Assembly complex until sanity is restored.”

Recall that Mr. Daniel Ogah-Ogazi’s faction of the Assembly earlier on Wednesday held its plenary, where it suspended the 10 members of the State House of Assembly loyal to the Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi-led group indefinitely.
