Police said a dog that was stabbed in Central Park had to be killed

CBS New York reports that a dog had to be killed after being stabbed during a dispute between two dog owners in New York City’s Central Park.
According to police, the owner of Eli, a German Shepherd-pit bull mix, got into an argument with the owner of three dogs that were released around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. During the argument, one of the divorced dogs attacks Ellie, who is being leashed. According to CBS New York, the owner of the three dogs unleashed allegedly stabbed Ellie.
Ellie was taken to a nearby clinic, where she was euthanized.
“You could tell the dog was hurt. It was bleeding. There was a lot of blood on the floor, but besides that, the owner was distraught. His wife couldn’t get close to the dog because there was so much blood,” a witness named Alexander told CBS New York. “On the ground”.
The owner of the Three Unleashed Bulls escaped, and as of Sunday night, no one was in custody. It was not clear what the initial argument was.
