Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are reportedly about to make a bid for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
London World have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that Arsenal are “preparing to lodge a renewed offer” for the Ecuador international midfielder.
The Gunners will make a £75 million bid for the youngster, similar to the one that they offered for Caicedo in the January transfer window.
Brighton turned it down at the time, but the Seagulls are now open to negotiations for the 21-year-old.
Brighton star Moises Caicedo would make Arsenal better
In our view, Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo would make Arsenal better in the middle of the park.
Caicedo has been superb for Brighton and is one of the best young midfielders around in the Premier League.
Now, of course, the Ecuador international is only 21, and, let’s admit it, he has done well for a limited period of time in the Premier League.
So, £75 million in transfer fees does seem a lot of money for Caicedo.
However, there is no doubt that Caicedo is a very promising and talented young midfielder and has been linked with Chelsea as well.
Manchester United legend Roy Keane described the midfielder as “strong and powerful”, while former Liverpool star John Barnes believes that Caicedo is a “fantastic” player.
