Romano claims European giants think £92m player has clear preference as Arsenal bid now imminent

Arsenal are preparing to ramp up their interest in Declan Rice following West Ham United’s Europa Conference League win.

Bayern Munich feel that West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice wants to stay in England with his next move.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who has taken to YouTube to discuss Rice’s future at West Ham.

Romano claims that Arsenal have already prepared an offer for Rice and it will be submitted very soon.

Romano adds that Bayern Munich really are interested with Thomas Tuchel hoping to finally sign the West Ham star.

Rice was heavily linked with Chelsea during Tuchel’s time in charge but no move materialised.

However, Romano claims that Bayern feel Rice is prioritising a Premier League move over heading abroad.

That may well leave Arsenal as the favourites to sign Rice this summer with Bayern seemingly not holding out too much hope.

“Now it’s going to be time for the big transfer and the feeling is that Arsenal have this bid ready for Declan Rice, it will arrive and be submitted very soon to try to tempt West Ham,” said Romano. “But it is also important to say that Bayern are interested, yes, but they feel that the player would love to stay in the Premier League,” he added.

Arsenal are ready to move for Declan Rice

Rice won the Europa Conference League on Wednesday night, helping West Ham beat Fiorentina 2-1 in Prague.

This was a huge moment for Rice but may also be the perfect moment on which to leave and take the next step in his career.

That is certainly the view of West Ham chairman David Sullivan, who believes Rice has now played his final game for the Hammers.

Arsenal seem to be the most likely destination and reports indicate that a move will now ramp up with West Ham’s European final out of the way.

The Telegraph claim that Arsenal are planning to offer a structured deal worth around £92million for Rice.

That would be a huge price for Bayern to match and Rice may well love the chance to stay in London.

Arsenal will now see Rice as a key addition to their side under Mikel Arteta and beating Bayern to his signature would be quite the way to start the summer for the Gunners.
